13 Years Today – Frank Meagher A True Legend….
Its Hard To Believe We Lost One Of Rallying Greatest Drivers On This Day 13 Years Ago. One of Irelands Most Exciting Drivers To Grace The Stages. He Was A Joy To Watch. His Fight Back Attitude Was Inspirational and Evidence of This Is Clear, Our Own Craig Breen Considers Him One Of His Biggest Influences. Craig Himself Is Now Taking On Some of The Greatest Drivers In The World.
From The Little Copper Coloured Mk2 Escort To The Mighty Focus WRC, The Blue Oval Was Always A Car That Was Very Close To Frank’s Heart and He Proved This In 1995 When He Won The Irish tarmac Rally Championship. He Was A Fighter, If He Put A Car Off He Would Fight Tooth And Nail To Get Back In It, Characteristics Very Similar To The Scot Colin McRae. An Example Of This Was In 1986 The Weekend Before A Rally He Rolled 2223IM While Testing So Not Being Able To Find A Roof Skin Frank Improvised And Installed A Black Vinyl Roof So He Could Take Part. This Really Showed His Determination And Passion He Had For The Sport.
So Today Just Stop What You’re Doing, Take A Moment and Think To Yourself
What Is Your Greatest Memory of Frank Meagher ???????
(No Doubt It Will Put A Smile On Your Face)
